The Weld and Larimer Bar Associations are happy to announce that the Northern Colorado Regional High School Mock Trial Tournament will be held on February 10 and 11in Weld County. The Mock Trial Tournament will be held in Weld County again this year so that we can help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Weld County Court House! We are in need of volunteers to help score the trial rounds at the Mock Trial Tournament. 2015 Northern Colorado Regional High School Mock Trial Competition
Another successful Northern Colorado Regional High School Mock Trial Tournament was held on February 27th and 28th in Fort Collins. This event could not happen without all the wonderful volunteers! The Weld County Bar Association would like to thank all the Weld County volunteers who helped out during the 2 day event-
Judge James Hartman, Judge Betty Strobel, Judge Shannon Lyons, Judge Brandi Lynn Nieto, Bob Choate, Eva Andrade, Joellen Cabot, Andrew LeClere, Matt Pring, Susan Henderson, Christian Schulte, Penny Gonzales-Soto, Jennifer Peters, Krea Sledge, Frank Haug, Valerie Brewster, Christopher Steele, Lee Moorhead, Jacob Lofgren, Erin Grundy, Tim Odil, Kathryn Heffron, Vince Junglas, Ashley Hughes-Junglas, Jon Lunsford, Mindy Lunsford, Maria Pena, and Ryan Kamada.
Rocky Mountain High School (Team Suits) and Ridgeview Team A (Team Law and Order) will be advancing to the State Tournament in Colorado Springs. Two students from Union Colony Preparatory School (Team Damages) won the Best Attorney and Best Witness trophies for their excellent work.
Two schools from Weld County- Union Colony Preparatory School and Fort Lupton High School competed in the tournament. Weld County should be very proud of these two teams! The Weld County Bar Association extends a special thanks to their attorney coaches- John Walsh and Annette Kundelius for Union Colony and John Dent for Fort Lupton. Thanks for the hard work you put in to helping these students!
2014 Regional Mock Trial Tournament
Union Colony Preparatory Academy attended the State Mock Trial tournament at the Jefferson County complex in March where they placed 14th. Congratulations to the Union Colony team on their successful Mock Trial season!
