Election News

Hello WCBA members! We’re getting closer to our Annual Meeting so please keep the evening of April 25, 2024, available!  The location is soon to be determined.  One of the duties as outgoing president is to head the nominating groups for both the opening Board positions and awards for: service to our indigent community; professionalism; and lifelong recognition in the law.  Here are the awards we need nominations for:

a.        Andrew Borg Award –honors an attorney or organization for outstanding contributions to the representation and availability of legal services to indigent persons.

b.        Frank Henderson Award this award honors an attorney for a life and practice that displays sterling character and unquestioned integrity, and ongoing dedication to the highest standards of the legal profession.

c.        Walker Miller Lifetime Achievement Award– this award honors an attorney for a lifelong dedication to excellence and inspiration to others in the legal profession.

The open Board position that needs a nomination is at least one At-Large Director position to keep us at 12 full members.  Regina Walsh Adams has accepted a nomination for President Elect and Rhonda Cordova has agreed to continue in her position as Secretary/Treasurer.

If you can please send an email no later than 3/15/24 to one of the nomination members for any position or award, we would greatly appreciate it! Those members are as follows:
